SLA Digital expands Carrier Billing to Zain Iraq
25 May 2016
Iraq becomes the fourth Zain mobile operation to offer the service
Zain Iraq today announced the launch of Carrier Billing with SLA Digital, a global digital services company. The announcement represents the fourth in a series of rollouts of Zain Pay, Zain’s Carrier Billing service offered to customers to facilitate the consumption and transaction of digital goods and services.
Carrier Billing, also known as Direct Operator Billing, allows Mobile Operator customers to purchase content in a safe and seamless way by charging the transaction to their prepaid balance or adding it to their monthly bill. Carrier Billing is expected to grow immensely over the coming years across the Middle East and Asia due to the relatively low levels of credit card penetration and high levels of unbanked people.
Nic Stirk, CEO of SLA Digital commented,
“SLA Digital is committed to expanding the strong relationship we have with Zain. Launching Carrier Billing with Zain Iraq represents another key milestone in expanding the Zain Pay service to all customers within the Zain Group.” Nic went on to add, “The continued expansion of the Zain Pay service throughout all Zain operating countries is testament to the success of the service.”
Mr. Ali Al Zahid, Chief Commercial Officer, commented,
“Always inspired by our customer centric strategy, Zain Iraq is completely dedicated to providing customers with the best digital purchasing experience possible. Carrier Billing provides a seamless and secure digital buying experience and reinforces Zain’s commitment to creating optimal customer satisfaction. We are determined to continue to provide our customers with the most innovative products and services, and to remain market leaders with similar exciting offerings.”
SLA Digital continues to expand Zain Pay throughout the Zain Group and additional announcements will be made as and when new territories are added in the coming months.
