Job Purpose

At SLA Digital, the Assistant Accountant will assist in delivering the full suite of management accounts required to manage the business. The Role
You will be working on a variety of day-to-day tasks including but not limited to:
- Processing of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure that compliance with authorisation procedures and terms of payment are properly exercised to the company’s benefit
- Following the process for raising sales invoices with customers and following up on payments within our credit terms
- Supporting the production of monthly management accounts for submission to the senior team
- Analysis of SLA Digital’s monthly transactions using data analytics techniques to report to management and the wider SLA Digital team on revenue performance
Skills/Experience Required
Essential: At least 2 experience of working in a finance or accounting role Basic understanding of accounting procedures including: Sales ledger activities including sales invoicing and recording receipts Purchase ledger activities including correctly allocating purchase invoicing, creditor payments, and dealing with ad-hoc queries Control and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts Familiarity with using an accounting system Experience with Microsoft Office package Desirable: Experience with producing monthly management accounts including accruals and prepayments Dealing with multiple currencies Skills Required: Candidate should be studying towards an accountancy qualification or qualified to Accounts Technician Level |
