Meet the Team – Klara Moynes, Account Manager
10 October 2022
How long have you worked at SLA Digital and what is your current role?
I studied languages at university which lead me quite naturally into an interpreting and translating role in the IT sector. Having spent a lot of time as a young adult working in customer-facing environments such as hotels and retail, I knew the world of sales and account management would be a good fit for me. I moved up into an Account Management role in 2017 and since January 2022, I have been learning all about Carrier Billing as an Account Manager with SLA Digital
What does your role as an Account Manager entail?
It is my responsibility as an Account Manager to nurture and expand business opportunities with our existing customer base and work with new clients to get them started on their Carrier Billing journey. A very important part of my job is understanding the complex requirements of both sides of our business (mobile operators and merchants) to ensure that all parties have the best chance of success. On a daily basis, our team will be reviewing new service submissions, monitoring service performance, catching up with clients, reviewing contracts, and ensuring any open tracks are progressing in the right direction.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I am a people person, so my favorite part of being an Account Manager is that I get to interact with people from all walks of life. I love that I am constantly learning, not just from my peers and superiors in SLA Digital, but from my clients too. I believe that the people you work with allow you to enjoy your job, and I work with a great group who have made me feel like an integral part of the team from day 1.
What advice would you give merchants looking to get started in the carrier billing space?
Ensure you have the resources to make it work. Carrier billing can be a very successful form of revenue, but a good marketing strategy is key. Take time to understand each operator’s specific requirements and do your market research to ensure you are pricing your service correctly. Be unique! Service quality is key for us when we are reviewing a submission and there is a huge amount of competition. The more unique the service, the better.
What benefits do merchants get when working with you and the Account Management Team at SLA Digital?
The Account Management team at SLA Digital is very efficient. Between us, we have a wealth of knowledge, and our close-knit nature means we can get to know our merchants one on one. We want your venture into carrier billing to be a success, so we work with you every step of the way, from service submission to go-live and beyond, to ensure you are getting the most out of the opportunity.
What type of services are you finding in demand from mobile operators at present?
Gaming content continues to be very popular with most mobile operators and multiplayer gaming services are a common service submission. However, there has been a bit of a shift and some operators are now expressing interest in eLearning and eSports content. As always, premium content is in high demand.
Why should Mobile operators and merchants choose to work with SLA Digital?
For nearly two decades SLA Digital has been successfully operating in the industry maximising revenue and minimising risk while building lasting relationships along the way. Our teams are approachable, knowledgeable, and dedicated to making your journey a success.
